Rename File

Use this command to rename any file on the disk.

 

RENF f/c/eRequired - The current file name including path and extension.

 

TO f/c/eRequired - The new file name including path and extension.

 

COMMENTS

Unlike the DOS REN command you can move a file from one path to another by changing the path value in the to option.  No error is reported if the file is not found or couldn't be renamed, and nothing is returned if the command is successful.

 

NOTE:  If the file is in use by yourself or another user you will not be able to rename it.
